I was a news anchor and ESPN sportscaster for 15 years. I now write books for children and teenagers.

After my first novel, Little Joe, I was named an outstanding newcomer to the children’s literature scene by The Horn Book magazine. Little Joe was a finalist for state awards and is a national reading selection for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the American Farm Bureau.

My next book is a children’s biography on sports legend Babe Didrikson Zaharias, which I wrote with my husband, author Rich Wallace.

We live in New Hampshire with our shelter dog Lucy.

I get to Jerome, Arizona to visit the Muckers as much as I can. Find out more about my other books at my author website:
